Pinay Mommy Writes

These months have been so busy for me. Balancing two jobs is no joke and to become a hands on momma is a different story. But no regrets, I love this kind of busy 😍🙌🏼

Last Sunday, we went to our usual Sunday happy place- Saint Pio Chapel in Eastwood. We're from Pasig but yeah, we attend mass there.

It was the first Advent Sunday of the year and we went there to hear the mass at night due to prior commitments in the morning. All I can say is the chapel is so LOVELY during nighttime too. ❤️

Here are some of my decent shots right before my little munchkin literally drag me because he's hungry already. You know the drill. Pig out after mass! 😆

Anyways, here are my currently..

Reading: Some random momma blogs

Writing: This Sunday currently entry

Listening: To the sound of the wind blowing

Thinking: About Christmas!! 🎄

Smelling: Nothing :(

Hoping: The bad news were finally over.

Wearing: Pajamas all day!

Loving: Spicy foods (right now)

Wanting: I want the Apple OTG so bad. Momma needs to save more.

Needing: Someone to talk to. I miss having friends I can always tell my rants and kwentos.

Feeling: SLEEPY

By the way, I am also participating to 12 days of blogmas. This is my first time so I hope I can make it. ✨

That would be all, my loves. May we all make this December to remember! 💗

It's Sunday again. ♡ We went to Santo Tomas, Batangas to attend the mass and to visit our patron, Santo Padre Pio. The shrine is really huge and spacey. After attending the mass there, we went to the mall to eat and let Jas have his play day.

Thank God it didn't rain today.

So tonight, I am CURRENTLY....

Last Friday night, there was a shooting incident in Resorts World Manila. I bet you know it since it has been circulating online. So many innocent lives were taken away that night. Unfortunately, my friend Merylle Guen Ala was one of them. My heart is breaking until now. How can one evil motive affect so many innocent lives who were just working?

Another Sunday, another Currently entry. ♡ Today we went to St. Pio Chapel in Eastwood to attend the mass. Even though it is kinda far from our home, we like to go there because of Padre Pio.

I finally get to review Lily's Touch Miracle Cream. I have been using this for a while, every day and night. Prior to using this one, I used Pond's Acne-Clear Gel, and TBH, I liked this more. Why? I'll tell you later.

This is how it looks like. Whenever I use a soap, I ALWAYS cut it in halves or if it is big (like this soap), I cut them into three parts.

CLAIMS

  • Reduces the appearance of freckles and melasma
  • Reduces the appearance of uneven skin pigmentation
  • Lightens pimple marks
  • Tightens pores
  • Lightens Skin naturally
  • Repairs and Rejuvenates dull skin
  • Improves skin texture leaving a supple and glowing skin

PACKAGING
Th cream is inside a plastic tub and sealed with scotch tape. It doesn't come with some applicator or spatula, so you'll need to have one for hygiene purposes.

CONSISTENCY
The consistency of the cream is like a mousse. So it has thick consistency. You need to blend it fast or it tends to be cakey in your face and of course, you don't want to look like you're a mumu. 🤣 A little goes a long way. Sometimes I just wear this on my face when I go out because it has SPF. It's up to you if you wanna set it with powder or apply foundation on top of it then set with powder too.

SMELL
This smells like melon candy! ❤ It might be strong for some people but it is just right for me. This is one of the reason I enjoy applying it on my face, thus the reason I don't forget to apply it.

LONGEVITY
I tried to use this miracle cream alone. Without any powder or anything on top of it. For me, this has a good oil control. My face oiled up after 5 hours. Pretty good because my face really oils up really fast especially without primer on.

Bare face- DAY 1

Half of my face has Lily's Touch Miracle Cream - Still DAY 1

And this how it looks like when you spread it all over the face. See the difference of my neck and face? 🤣

Day 1
My face has visible active pimple and some acne marks.

Day 3
My active pimple marks dried up already. The pimple marks are still there.

Day 8
The pimples are totally gone. The pimple marks did lighten too. I experienced some mini pimples, parang bungang araw lang naman so kiber. :)

MY FACE RIGHT NOW

FINAL CONCLUSION

Lily's Touch Miracle Cream did a very good job on my face. The soap helps too! It dries up my active pimple/s as early as overnight. I don't know if the soap or the cream made my face a little dry. It sometimes noticeable especially when I put the cream on. So I have to put moisturizer prior to the cream. I love that it has SPF 40.

There are some downsides tho. Like the packaging, since it doesn't come with applicator so you need to have one. There is no expiration date indicated. Lastly, you can only buy it online. There are some stores offering it but they're hard to find.

All in all, I give this product 4/5 stars.
★★★★✩

Are you using this too? How was your experience?

Until next time,

Hello guys. Another week has passed. How did yours go? For me, I slept a lot this week, way longer than I should. Sigh! Wake up, Lovi.

This week has been a sad week too. There are bombings in some city here in the Philippines. It's so sad yet sometimes I get so mad to those who did it. I mean, don't they have their own families too? Tsk.

Anyway, I am currently...

READING
some Social Media Marketing tips. This can help me on my job being a Virtual Assistant. Need to read and research more.

WRITING
draft of my thoughts, as I make them a poetry. I hope I can still remember how. It has been ages since I did one.

LISTENING
to #WHM2017 The Hits. Love on the brain by Rihanna to be exact. Currently listening some mellow, slow jams this Sunday evening.

THINKING
where to go next week. I am thinking to travel, within the Metro and make a vlog. Hmm. I just hope the weather will cooperate.

SMELLING
Olay body wash. I took a bath 2 hours ago yet my skin smells so rosy.

HOPING
for my number 1 prayer (about a certain lawsuit) be granted by Our Lord. It keeps me restless!

WEARING
my 5-year-old T-shirt. I love this shirt! It is so comfy though the design and the prints are faded already.

LOVING
my job! Tonight, as I work, it made me realize how blessed I am to be working at home, not dealing with traffic, office drama and what not. I am planning to make a blog post about my online job.

WANTING
to eat Mango Float. We need to make one tomorrow! I have been craving for this since last week.

NEEDING
some social life. Haha.

FEELING
left alone. I don't know, but these times I just watch my friends have their own family, travel here and abroad, happy with their partners. I am so EMO right now. Slowly becoming one of the Titas of Manila. :P

May we all have a fun and productive week ahead! Don't forget to make time for yourself, guys. ❤

Until next time,

Another Volume for Sunday Currently. I am so enjoying this. <3
Well, today we went to church at St. Pio Chapel Libis. After that, we went to SM Megamall and hoard. It is currently SALE so I made a list of what to buy so we can prevent overspending. Usually kapag Sale kasi we tell ourselves na makakamura tayo. But the truth is, we didn't save money, we end up buying more and more because nga it is low priced and end up overspending than the usual budget that we have for shopping. Haaaaayyy. Adulting is so damn hard. :(

Anyways, I am currently...

20 Things Every 20-Something Must Remember Today, And Every Day on Thought Catalog
During my free time, I read articles and submissions on Thought Catalog. Even though I know myself, more that anyone of course, I am so fond reading their thoughts and I feel so normal that someone share sentiments as mine.

WRITING

LISTENING
Pusong Ligaw by Jericho Rosales. Me and my son have been singing this the whole day. Literal na LSS.

THINKING
My plans for MAY. <3

SMELLING
My son's baby powder. Specifically Tender Care. Pink.

HOPING
For bombings and earthquake to stop. :(

WEARING
My plaid black long sleeves and pants. I haven't taken them off until now because I want to write my Sunday entry before I became busy with my night routine - including Netflix.

LOVING
God and my family. Idk, I feel so loved today. Hihi.

WANTING
to drink Milk Tea. Haaay. We were at the mall earlier but the line was so long and my son was kinda impatient that time so next time na lang muna.. :(

NEEDING
new sets of Pambahays. Haha. TMI. Where'd all my pambahay go?

FEELING
like a mombie. A mom and a zombie in one. I slept for like 3 hours last night.

That's it for tonight. Writing here makes me feel like I am writing on my diary. Except I don't have to be specific. ;)

This Sunday is special because it is my awesome dad's birthday! <3
Today, we are at Birch Tower Malate to celebrate. This week, the weather kinda acting weird, extremely hot during day to afternoon then rains every night. Thank God the rain did not poured on us today.

THINKING
of our next vacation. THis staycation we're having is more of homey. SO I am thinking on a vacation that is more of adventure.

SMELLING

HOPING

LOVING
this SUNSET I am seeing right now. We are located on 33th floor so we can clearly see the city.

WANTING

NEEDING
some pamper time. I haven't visited the salon for a year, I think. I usually do pamper time at home so I miss going to salons.

FEELING

That's it for this week, guys. If you want to share a bit of your personal life, you may join this fun Sunday Currently trend. <3 I want to read your too. ;)

Hi! Welcome back to my blog. And welcome to a new segment I added to my blog-- The Sunday Currently. <3

This is a series where you share what you are doing and all other stuffs on your typical Sunday. I found this series through SIDDHA THORNTON's personal blog and thought I wanted to share mine too. This is so much helpful because you will be able to share bits of your personal life on your online space. Cool, right?

My Sunday is strictly Family day unless there is an important event/s that fall on that day.

Today is Easter Sunday! Let us rejoice! Here is my Volume 1.

CURRENTLY...

READING

Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me by Lily Colins. She is me dealing with life. It's just that she is so GORGEOUS. Admitting and accepting the flaws and turning insecurities to a positive outlook can be hard, right? I am not yet done reading, but I totally can relate!

WRITING
on my bullet journal. I actually ditched the planner I bought because it is just so bulky and has limited features unlike when you do bullet journaling, if there's a term, you can fully customize it.

LISTENING

to NERVE Album on Spotify. I just looooove their soundtrack. Their movie was amazing too, it was unpredictable, which I like, plus Dave Franco and Emma Robert's chemistry. <3

THINKING
about making a banana peanut butter smoothie tomorrow. Food is life, bes!

SMELLING
my son's head while he sleeps. His head is so therapeutic, atleast for me. Am I the only one?

HOPING

for my priority prayer to be granted by Our Lord. Hayst! I always feel down whenever people start targeting my family, especially my parents. So ayun!

WEARING
a terno pink jammies. I love wearing pajamas, even when it's already daytime. Thank God for my wonderful clients that I get to work at home and just wear tons of my jammies.

LOVING
13 Reasons Why- a series from Netflix. As a mother, one of my biggest fear is when my son will be bullied someday at school, or worse be the bully. But of course I won't let that happen. Keeping the communication is one of the key!

WANTING
to gain MORE weight.

NEEDING
some beach outing or summer vacation with family. Speaking of.. I need to plan those now.

FEELING
Sleepy. I slept around 5 in the morning yesterday then woke up at 8 in the morning. Was with my family the whole day and now I know that my body's telling me to catch some z's.

I am happy that I had a meaningful Holy Week this year. So much realizations and reflections.

I hope we all have a splendid week ahead!
Plan those goals and let's smash the sh*t out of them!

Hope to see you on my next volume of SUNDAY CURRENTLY.

Until then,

As a certified eyeliner girl, the newest addition of eyeliner from Maybelline got me fired up! I have tried a lot of eyeliners (drugstore brands to be exact), from pens to dips, and to be honest, this one is my current favorite. It is the Maybelline Hyperink Liquid Liner.

Price: Retails for Php 299 but I got it on its introductory price for Php 149.50

PACKAGING

The packaging is so classy. Loved the back and glossy silver combination. I also like that the handle is long so you can adjust the way you hold it. The ingredients and claims are located in the plastic seal, so if you are going to open the product, the plastic together with those info will come off too.

It has flex tip so making thin lines is so easy, especially if you are going to achieve a fierce-looking wing liner.

 CONSISTENCY

It has an intense black ink. Not jet black tho, it still has some gloss. But I don't mind because it is the blackest liquid eyeliner I have. It is smudge-proof. Stayed on my lids all day. Super long lasting talaga! Very pigmented, instant wing liner in one stroke. Me likey!! <3

 SWATCHES

Close up..

Now I'm going to take off my low bun and take a selfie. My sakit-panga-pose. :)

BUY OR BYE

BUY!! Or even hoard. Haha. I love this liquid eyeliner so much that whenever I am feeling fierce on a certain day, I just need to apply a wing liner then I am good to go! :)

As of March 6, 2017, from Maybelline Philippines Facebook page. So you know the drill, loves!! ;)

Do own this one too?
I would really love to know your thoughts. :)

Until then,

It was last year when this real flower and gold specks inside a lipstick became the new craze. It is no other than - the KAILIJUMEI Flower Jelly Lipsticks. Each of them appears transparent, has their own shades and changes colors according to your body's pH and temperature. Isn't that cool?

No filter.

I find it similar to the flower from the Beauty and the Beast. Sa sobrang ganda, ayoko na gamitin. Hehe.

This retails for Php 649.00 from Zalora. I saw some at Shopee PH but I was not sure if they were authentic so better ask them politely na lang. :)

Shades for Red tube: Minute Maid (Orange), Barbie Doll Powder (Light Pink), Flame Red (Red), Dream Purple (Purple)

I also checked their ingredients and I was blown away that they're natural and you can make sure your lips are free from cruelty and harmful ingredients.
The ingredients include Candelilla resin, Cocoa butter, Beeswax and Lavender oil and each of the lippies have also passed the security test.

PACKAGING

The lipstick comes inside a blue box. The color or shade is printed on the top. There is also a sticker on the side with a QR code for authentication.  On the other side is the expiration date. Shelf life is three years.
When you take the product off the box, it is being held and placed in a black plastic-type holder. I have mine in red tube which I think the original ones because they have some new sets of flowers jelly lipsticks that comes in gold. On the side of the tube you can also find a mirror which makes it easy to carry around.

Sorry about the sun glare on this shot.

The top of the tube has a button that you must push down so the actual lipstick will pop out and then you can pull it out to use. This is good to prevent lipstick to come out unintentionally in our bags (because who wants that?). On the bottom naman you can see the shade.

SCENT

The smell is sweet like a candy. I am close to eating it. (Just kidding)

SWATCH

  • Consistency- The lipstick bullet is transparent but turns pink upon application. It varies from body's pH level and also to the number of re-application. The formula is moisturizing. It more of a balm type rather than lipstick feeling.
  • Longevity- It lasted on my lips all throughout the day. When the gloss is gone it leaves a pinkish shade making my lips natural and healthy.
The swatches that I made is directly to my lips because it may differ when I apply it on my hands.
It's not heavy on my lips when worn. By the way, my lips are darker on the outer part.
The swatch I made is just one swipe. If you want a brighter or more pink outcome, just re-apply.

BUY OR BYE

To be honest, I won't buy it again or try other shades as I usually do with other lipsticks. Why? Aside from its price, I don't think I'll use it frequently as it is so pretty I'm afraid to consume the whole lipstick and ruin its beauty.

Are you planning to try this one too?
Or perhaps own one of the Flower jelly lipstick?
I'd love to read your thoughts. Please comment them below. :)

Until then,
