Staycation Reviews: Berjaya Makati Hotel

by - 6:49:00 PM

Ever since we have Jas as an addition to our family, our staycations become more frequent. Today, I will be sharing with you our recent staycation at a hotel in Makati.

Last December 31, 2016, we stayed at BERJAYA MAKATI HOTEL to celebrate New Year's eve there. The hotel is located at 7835 Corner Eduque Street, Makati Ave, Makati. It is just along Makati Avenue so it is accessible to malls, restaurants, convenience stores or even bars and banchettos.

We arrived late, as always. It was around 4pm that time that's why we were given a room on the 8th floor since the hotel was pretty full that time. Lesson learned: Arrive early and prior to the check-in time so you can pick a higher floor for your room to have a better view of the city. :)

Moving forward to the room tour. We booked for a DELUXE ROOM - WITHOUT BREAKFAST via Travelbook PH.

The first thing I noticed was the room has just yellow lights. It's relaxing though I really want a room that has atleast a white light (sorry I don't know the proper terms to call it. :P)

This is the front door. If you are already inside and facing it.

On its right is the bathroom, beside it is a full body length mirror. Perfect for OOTD shots mga bes!

On its left is the closet, that has slippers, hangers, safe and iron.

Next to it is a mini kitchen that has complimentary water bottles, coffee and tea drinks and a mini fridge.

This is what the room looks like.

The bathroom - my favorite part! :)

We haven't been to their swimming pool and gym because of lack of time.

PROS

  • Accessible location
  • Reasonable price
  • Room was clean and well maintained although you will notice that the furniture were old.
  • Friendly staffs.

CONS

  • The floor smells cigarettes! If you're wondering why?
  • One of the elevator bounces every time it stops on a certain floor.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

To sum it all up, we had a satisfying stay at Berjaya Makati. We went outside 5 minutes before the New Year comes and there were street party of people and firecrackers.

We will definitely come back here and make sure we will experience their pool. I'm sure babybinata will love it!
